The Born Losers

Meet the band

Stu – Drummer and backing vocals. Sometimes drives a van.

Stu is a heavyweight drummer. He knocks out a rhythm to ensure that the other members are on their toes, whether they need to be or not. Stu is the backbone of the band, holding it all together and whipping up an atmosphere – or is that just Guinness?
Stu models himself upon some of the greats including Keith Moon, John Bonham and Cozy Powell but as they’re all dead, we couldn’t ask them what they thought of Stu. We did ask a lad who was at one gig who told us he knew a drummer in Crosby so he’s pretty qualified. He said Stu was ‘okay’ so we were chuffed with that.

Wes – Bass Player and backing vocals. Talks funny.

Wes has got curly hair and he’s the tallest in the band. He plays bass guitar but despite that, he is actually a decent musician as well. His Geordie twang is noticeable between numbers. One lady ( aged 44 from Stockbridge village) said, “ I love it, it’s right canny” Her husband declined to comment.
Wes plays no part whatsoever in writing any of the band’s material because they only do covers. He said, “Well, if I was a writer like, I’d kinda be a bit of a cross between like Chris Rea and Lindisfarne and that”

Danny – Guitarist and vocalist – sorts out rehearsals

Danny is the one remaining founder member or as one lady from Old Swan said, “The original Born Loser” He stands at the front and plays guitar. Sometimes he says funny things to the audience and on other occasions he can’t be arsed. Dan is good at shifting and storing stuff. That is his main job, to look after all the equipment just like a roadie. The band rehearses regularly at the offices of a local process server
